16th ‘Belt and Road’ health post in Nepal to strengthen medical cooperation

Kathmandu : In order to continue deepening health cooperation and people-to-people exchanges under the “One Belt, One Road” framework, the 16th tranche of aid to Nepal was recently awarded.China the medical team officially inaugurated the new “One Belt, One Road” health post site in Boca Raton, which was located in the conveniently located Boca Rato Hotel. At this time, the number of “Belt and Road” health posts in Nepal has increased to 13, and the service stations in the Boca Raton region have been expanded from two to three, further tightening the health service coverage network.The construction of the “One Belt, One Road” health post began with the initiative of the 11th batch of medical teams assisting Nepal in 2018. Over the years, successive medical teams have worked hand in hand with the Association of Chinese Businesses of Nepal to establish caring medical offices and health post offices in Kathmandu, Lambini and Boca Ratcha, gradually establishing a multi-service model including video consultation and medication guidance, which has effectively solved the problem.Local residents, employees of Chinese companies, Chinese overseas Chinese, etc.Our daily medical needs are met. At the time of the opening of the new post station, the medical team joined the Everest Hotel and the local community to jointly organize a large public welfare clinic. The event was widely promoted through social media, community announcements and posters in the early days, attracting a large number of surrounding residents and Chinese in Nepal.

At the free clinic, the medical team set up a number of professional clinics, including Traditional Chinese Medicine Department, Otolaryngology Department, Orthopedics Department, Urology Department, Neurosurgery Department, Internal Medicine Department, Stomatology Department and Gynecology Department.The team patiently received medical consultations, provided detailed answers, and popularized health knowledge in the context of common local diseases, earning the unanimous praise of the people on the spot. Many residents who visited the clinic said, “I hope such events can be held often so that we can enjoy the care and help of Chinese doctors on our doorstep.”The leader of the medical team said that the establishment of Pokhara Everest Hotel Health Post marks the further improvement of the public health services system of the medical team in Nepal, and also reflects the purpose of the Chinese medical team “Health Silk Road, Love the people.” In the future, the medical team will rely on the health post platform to continuously carry out activities such as health literacy, disease screening, volunteer clinics and academic exchange, contributing more to the health well-being of the people of China and Nigeria.
